Perfect rigging for the experienced cyclist looking to switch to their first double suspension or for new cyclists looking for a step ahead in performance.The mp2 suspension system is active with a wheel axis trajectory almost vertical, as well as excellent lateral and torsional rigidity for precise tracking of the rear wheel. Riding quickly with control requires steering precision that starts at the front of the bike. Stiffening this area results in less deflection of the wheels, more control of the wheels. The bases of the Dakar are asymmetrical, with a straight guyed cable raised on the side opposite to the drive and a curved guyed cable lowered on the drive side. The drive side must be lowered and curved to clear the front derailleur and chain, but moving the non-drive side directly from the stall to the BB pivot reduces the weight while stiffening the rear triangle considerably laterally. There is also more clearance for the tires. First-rate braking should not break the bank. Shimano hydraulic brakes deliver power, smooth modulation and all-day reliability in all conditions. The Dakars feature Monarch shock absorbers that provide adjustable rebound damping and a single valve air spring. It is light and easily adjustable depending on the pilot and riding style. The philosophy of the 1x powertrain is to make it simpler, lighter and more durable.
