Product Description In an increasingly controversial world, Giro proves that former opponents can become valuable allies if they work together. Factor Techlace men's shoes combine three of the most popular fastening systems - the Boa IP1 dial, lace and loop and hook straps - to peacefully coexist as a common head fitting. The result combines the minimalist profile and custom fit of the lace-up empire with the user-friendly convenience of the original Factor. We think it's as cool as hell. The Factor Techlace is the first Giro shoe to be equipped with a Boa dial. Giro uses it to anchor the shoe at the top. This is where the one millimeter adjustment of the IP1 will be the most practical. The rest of the shoe is secured by self-gripping straps, themselves anchored by laces. As for their fit, they look like the original Factor once the straps are tight and the dial is dialed, but replacing the full straps with laces results in less material and corresponding weight loss. Giro attributes to the Factor Techlace a weight loss of 40g per shoe compared to the Factor. There will no doubt be a back-scribble chorus that will deplore this combination as a useless ostentation, but we've heard the same criticism about lace at the Empire's fist launch. As with all Giro running shoes, the stacking height is kept to a minimum to eliminate as much as possible the barriers between your watts and the pedals. The sole is associated with a one-piece upper made of the same thing as the Teijin Evofiber SL Giro uses for its other high-level running shoes. The Factor Techlace is therefore similar ...
